چکیده

We report a voltage-controlled critical behavior observed in GaAs epitaxial structure containing dense array of ErAs nanoparticles. When fabricated with metal electrodes, the displays voltage- and temperature-dependent metal-to-insulator transition strong hysteresis current versus voltage temperature characteristics, temperatures as high 77 K. Furthermore, we diverging rms deviation electrical conductance respect to bias voltage, which further supports existence phase transition. The insulating is governed by Efros-Shklovskii variable range hopping, reduces beyond instrument limits drops toward zero; supporting it an Anderson insulator. metallic minimum at behaving similarly that single quantum dot due Kondo resonance, then increases continues drop. colossal magnetoresistance under weak magnetic field K while does not. And can be induced showing discontinuity, similar voltage. propose explained concept insulator impurities.

Critical metal phase at the Anderson metal-insulator transition with Kondo impurities.

It is well known that magnetic impurities can change the symmetry class of disordered metallic systems by breaking spin and time-reversal symmetry. At low temperature, these symmetries can be restored by Kondo screening. It is also known that at the Anderson metal-insulator transition, wave functions develop multifractal fluctuations with power-law correlations. Here, we consider the interplay ...

Level curvature and metal-insulator transition in 3d Anderson model

The level curvature in the Anderson model on a cubic lattice is numerically investigated as an indicator of the metallic-insulator transition. It is shown that trie mean curvature obeys a scaling law in the whole range of the disorder parameter. In the metallic regime, the distribution of rescaled curvatures is found to be well described by a formula proposed by Zakrzewski and Delande [1] for r...

Metal Insulator Transition

Metal Insulator transition(MIT) is characterized by the conductivity which will be zero in the insulator phase. In this term paper, we focus on Mott insulator, and a simple theoritical way to describe this MIT is the Hubbard Model .Finally, we will look at the experiments of Mott insulator transition .

Metal-insulator Transition (scaling Theory)

In this paper I brieey discuss the concepts of localization and metal-insulator transition. The phenomenological description of the conducting properties depending on the dimensionality and disorder, and the physical arguments for the scaling-function are presented. The conducting properties of the 3D system near the critical point of the metal-insulator transition predicted by this scaling mod...

Metal-Insulator Transition from Graphene to Graphane

Graphane is obtained by perfectly hydrogenating graphene. There exists an intermediate material, partially hydrogenated graphene (which we call hydrographene), interpolating from pure graphene to pure graphane. Employing a graph theoretical approach to the site-percolation model, we present an intuitive and physical picture revealing a percolation transition from graphene to graphane. It is dem...
